Midsummer is an old Viking fertility festival celebrated through out northern Europe and the biggest national holiday in Scandinavia.
The day is filled with age-old traditions, such as decorating and raising a Maypole and feasting on Scandinavian foods and liquor.
The women dress in white dresses and wear flower wreaths in their hair. In the evening the young and unattached party the night away until the we hours of the morning. Come experience the biggest Swedish Midsummer's Eve party in USA and maybe the world.
For the 10th year in a row, event organizers ISwede, Nordic Nights and Mania Events gathers the young Scandinavian community in New York for a great, big party at Club Crimson in the heart of Manhattan’s Flatiron District; a space with soaring ceilings, two levels, three bars and refined furniture and fixtures.
The night will be filled with Scandinavian contemporary music as well as current NYC Club hits, a live performance by legendary Swedish singer/song-writer Christer Sandelin and hundreds of happy Scandinavians on the dance floor.
