Zikrayat Final Spring Show--Egyptian Film Tribute--Tomorrow, May 15th!

After an exciting run this spring, at Joe's Pub and several other venues, Zikrayat will be presenting its final show of the season tomorrow, May 15th, at 7:30pm at the CUNY Graduate Center. The show is our much-awaited first presentation of a multi-media tribute to Egyptian Cinema of the 1930's 40's and 50's, with clips and montages from Golden-Era Egyptian Films, featuring stars Mohammed Abdel-Wahhab, Asmahan, Farid el-Atrash, Abdel-Halim Hafiz, Fayza Ahmed, Shadia, Hurriya Hassan, Samia Gamal, Taheya Karioca, Naima Akif, and Um Kulthum, all accompanied by life music and dance performances by the ensemble. It promises to be an exciting show, and it's free! We hope to see you there.
