This unique and elegant piece is 100% silk dupioni in lime green and royal blue and is lined in sumptuous silk charmeuse in watermelon pink! My favorite colors!
And for an added luxurious look, I've added a dramatic sari border in hot pink. This vintage silk border was hand embroidered in India many years ago using REAL METAL THREAD. (Take care when ironing--the metal gets pretty hot).
This beautiful embroidery (zari or zardosi), is rarely done in India anymore and it is increasingly hard to find these borders or sari's with these types of borders, which is a shame because I really love the look. The metal threads give that special glitz and shine. The border on this scarflette features a repeating paisley motif! The scarflette snaps crossways in the front to give it more of a sari feel.
