I have simple hair. Straight, boring. I am growing out some bangs that were long enough to put behind my ears and had one very long layer, with only a half an inch difference between the bottom and the layer. I asked for a trim. I said I was growing out the long bangs. "Iron," the man who cut my hair, cut in a layer over FOUR INCHES!!! shorter than the one that had been there. He shortened the bangs so much the don't fit behind my ears. He also cut a weird chunk out of the left side of my hair that exposes my neck. I also asked for a blowdry, but he claimed he did not have time. Because my hair is slightly curly and bounces up when wet, and because it was still really wet after the cut, I could not see these hideous results. When I got home and blew it dry, I was shocked. Ironically, "Iron" spent the entire cut telling me what a great stylist he is and how much experience he has. I will never return there and urge you to consider getting your hair cut elsewhere. - LM , posted 05/27/09 |

Extreme has been open for under a year and is like a mini, much better DRAMATICS. I don't know if it is an offshot of the Dramatics chain, but it employs some Dramatics alumni like TURBO from the 92 St location. It is small, comfortable, and unlike the bigger fish, you won't have to wait half a day to get in the barber chair...or under the sink or under a blowdryer for that matter. also good is the pricing, a haircut is approx $18, and ok a dramatics cut is about the same...but again not much wait and friendly employees...no Mariah Careys here. So far there is only the 96th St location, truthfully it should stay that way. They are real and don't wanna see them suffer the chain reaction! - Unsubscribed , posted 04/18/05 |
