Tips for first timers...
Remember the Soup Nazi? This place is sort of like that.
There is usually a line out the door and people want their food fast.
So if you are not sure what you want don't get on line and wait till you are
at the counter to stand there and say "um, i want a, ummmm lets see....
what's a shawerma????"
Oh, try not to change the entire menu when you order-
no asking to hold this, hold that, extra this, etc...
If you are not sure what to get ask someone who is already eating outside.
When you hear "next" you better be ready to order or the regulars will get pissed off.
As soon as you are called you say for example "falafel with hummus to stay" as quick as you can.
Have your $2.50 ready without being told. Do your best to have exact change.
Step aside until your falafel is ready (which should be in no more than 20 seconds)
so the next person can order in the same manner.
There is very little space to move around here. You also have to watch out for the guys who bring supplies up from the basement. Don't get in the way or you'll hold things up.
This whole operation runs like a well oiled machine when people know the procedure.
As a result everyone will be able to satisfy their need for this amazing food.
Yeah.... It's that good
Oh and one last thing: BE CAREFUL WITH THE HOTSAUCE!!!! Its damn hot.
I don't care how much heat you can take on the way in -
This stuff can kill you on the way out ....
