BEST PARTY SPOT IN ALL OF NYC!!
No place compares to Rubulad. NONE! Best parties because it takes up the entire loft building. The place was decorated by artists so they have the most INSANE decor you will ever feast your eyes on. You can't get bored either. Dance your ass off downstairs, smoke a ciggy on the roof... watch a live band upstairs, do a shot of absynthe... grind to some reggae, hop to the next room and do the electric slide to some funk -- there is just too much to do at Rubulad that it's impossible to not have a good time. I don't think I've ever left this place before 6am. - jasmin , posted 05/15/08

the ill shizzy...
why? NYC used to be the city that never sleeps, the mecca of culture and originality where great minds met to plot new ways to conquer the world of the plastic wrapped minds... at one point, this cultural giant influenced cultures and subcultures alike... unfortunately that time has passed... all but gone forgotten and only lives in the minds of those, who actually experienced it at one point first hand...
Rubulad is the last bastion of this culture - the NYC culture which now is as scarece as people who truely understand and represent it... thousands of artists musical and otherwise gathered at Rubulad and left a little piece of their soul behind, to enrich and forever alter the world of whomever walked passed it's doors...
thank you to Rubulad and everyone involved in keeping this culture alive and kicking...

NYCs #1 regular nighttime event
Like any regular event, I like some Djs and performers at Rubulad more than others, but there's no denying that of all the crews that throw events in New York, Rubulad features the widest and most creative variety of music and art, and throws the best regular series events, period. I have witnessed coutless amazing DJs, bands, and hard-to-describe performances there that I have never heard or seen anywhere else in this city.
I can't name one club or regular event here that has as much varied art and music to experience in a night- can you?

To 3001 and Christopher: If you care at all about Rubulad or NYC music events in general, like you say you do, you'd be best to think about what you say before you comments like these...I'm pretty certain neither of you have the faintest clue of the effort, the work, the risk, the time and energy it takes to make even one event on a Rubulad scale happen (esp. in this city), let alone regular events for over 15 years. Once you've throw hundreds of parties with literally thousands of different artists, performers, musicians, and DJs, can you then bless us with the wisdom of your critiques? To complain that an event of this scale isn't "free" (as if you're being forced to go) only demonstrates the commenter's utter and complete ignorance of the subject and his own mentally-challenged self righteousness.
---so guys, write me direct if you would like this discuss this further,(not on this page please)... I can be found at blackkat dot org. (I do have the experience I describe BTW , see my site-- ) - onlineJason , posted 03/30/08

Always good times at that party. It's good to have aprty where all types of people interact and where all the bullshit stays at the door.
