awesome! PROS: Funky, great food, great atmostphere, fabulous service, good prices.
CONS: There's better food and cheaper prices elsewhere, but this place strikes a really nice balance.
If I'm not broke, I might be here..... The arugula salad is good enuff reason to frequent this place, but with the wi-fi- and relaxed, comfortable, no attitude vibe - if i have more than 5 bucks in my sweaty lil' palm, i'm here.............
Best no BULL cafe on the west side! Place has vibe. Has great food. the pastries are simply yummy and there really is no animal fat in them?? The children LOVED the cupcakes. I wish the best for Mike & Deb... Great Place!
Best place to have satellite office You can nosh all day and otherwise be left alone. Great place to work, great music, only drawback is early in the a.m. when many moms bring babies in -- but maybe you like that. :)
a new vegan place in the west village - daily candy covered it well (excerpt)
'sNice and Easy Does It
A charming, neighborly, non-corporate place to get a cup of coffee and read the paper.
A warm, roomy, wi-fi-coming-soon, blog-your-brains-out cafe that just opened in the West Village. (And, yeah, we'll say it: It's nice.)
Owner Mike Walter (of Elbow Room fame) and designer Louis Delgado know how to tend to the details. The steel, exposed-brick, and wood space is cute but not cutesy. The crowd is relaxed but not ho-hum. There's a large back room where you can perch while you eat Deborah's (Mrs. Mike's) special granola muffins, vegan Philly cheesesteaks, and one-of-a-kind marshmallows.
