best 24 hour spot on St. Marks
Even though the they're a bit overpriced for their diner-type food, the ambiance and decor are worth it. In the warmer months they have an outdoor deck with funky lighting and they're open at all hours of the night. Perfect for late night munchies after a night of partying! - jasmin , posted 05/15/08

Bad Vibe.
Bland food, unfriendly waitstaff, and ridiculously overpriced. - Juniper , posted 08/24/06

well bad first impression
It might just be the bad first impression but when i first walked in i thought it was a hippie hangout, bad vibe, and strolled out. - rob , posted 01/17/06

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing but
Other than the atmosphere. The food at this place sucked. It was very bland on both occasions I went there. On both occasions the people I went with raved about the place, which lead me to believe that it was just trendy. Cool to say good things about this pretty diner with boring salads and cold food that would be served warm in a decent kitchen. A far as I'm concerned the King of Yaffa is naked. And as for the wait staff, well the King's court is slow. - Dixie , posted 12/05/05

Yaffa is great
Yaffa, overall, is great. The full-of-itself East Village vibe gets a little tiresome but it's still a wonderful hangout, great place to have an interesting conversation with one other person or a small group. I actually met/hung out with the owner one night, and the eclectic staff can be thanked for the excellent music. - Ana , posted 10/14/05

Good food for very little money
I used to come here after a late night at the club but a friend invited here for brunch once and I was hooked. The place is the size of my living room (yup, that means it's small as hell) but the kitschy environment makes up for it. - Constant , posted 04/18/05
one of my favorite resaurants is Yaffa Cafe in the
I used to live in NYC and one of my favorite resaurants is Yaffa Cafe in the East Village ( 1st Ave & Ave A I believe.) It is open 24 hours. The place is funky and has a ton of character. They serve many types of food. Take the subway to St. Mark's/Astoria place and walk East on St. Marks. - H2OOooooooooo , posted 08/30/04
