I honestly havent been there in a few years, but it's a great little place. at that time, if you went in during the earlier hours you could get a manicure while you drank! (never did.) the seats are actual salon hair-dryer chairs. feels very modern in spite of it's '50s vintage edge. i don't know about now, but it seemed to attract "clean" attractive people and scenesters (this was before the age of the anti-hipster), not douchey alcoholics. - K. I like going to Beauty Bar for their happy hour specials and the knowledgable bar staff. IOne time a friend of mine and I went in and described something that we wanted to drink and two seconds later the bartender returned with what she called "the summer drink". They had me sold from then on. Add to that the fact that the place is pretty big (when they have the back room open) and you pretty much have a winning combination. - Richard , posted 02/26/06 |
